Welcome To Our Ranch
We are the Thuerauf family, Bob, Karen, Chris, Jon, Rachel and Emily. We farm corn and soybeans and added elk in 2001. We all work together to keep our business going. We sell the meat from our animals, the leather from their hides, their antlers either as hard rack or velvet, antler products such as lamps, tables and jewelry, their ivory teeth, as well as live animals. Since elk are not wild in Iowa a lot of people have never seen one or it has been a long time since they have. It is a great learning experience and if you like photography, it is a good opportunity to get some photos. We enjoy promoting our elk and the Iowa Elk Breeders Association.
